The photo has a tiny man "rock climbing" up a girls face using a piece of her hair. I believe that this is a artistic image. The man was photoshopped onto her face.
 I believe that the image is supposed to mean or represent the struggle of man to reach other people. As he is having to climb up her face in order to maybe understand her true nature.
I think the intent of the photographer was to create an image that is meaningful and is a type of optical illusion. The image gives a message of complexity of the mans struggle, and the girl being seemingly unaware of what is happening. The difference in scale between the man and the girl definitely affects the interpretation of the image. It creates a conflict of being drawn to the man and the girls eye. It creates his climb seem larger, or the lengths that people go to become close to one another harder. it also creates the sensation that the girl does not car or is indifferent to what is happening with the man.
